I always stay at the Fairmont Millenium Park when I stay in Chicago. Great location and amenities.
Overall OK stay…..The climate control broke in my room. Couldn’t open window bc of high winds….And, when I checked in, they gave me a paper with “Urban experience benefits”. One item said, one pass to Lake shore fitness per guest room. When I asked for the pass, they said I could buy it for $25….???

First, let me start with the $77 a night valet fee. How this is legal I just don’t know. Yes, there is a lot near by that is $38 a night but it’s not at all convenient if you are traveling with a lot of stuff and/or if you are a woman. Next, I have to share the awful experience we had with our room. We were on the 18th floor and right under what was clearly a huge construction project. It was so loud (and started at like 7 am) that I went to the front desk to request a new room. We were told that the construction was done for the weekend and would not start back up until Monday after we would have been checked out. That was not the case. It was a good room with a good view but we got zero sleep because of all of the noise. I am still very upset we were told the construction was over when it was not. The property is in a great location and we would give it one more chance but overall left feeling exhausted and frustrated.
I’ve stayed at the Fairmont several times - it’s right next to Millenium Park and very close to Michigan Avenue. The hotel is clean, comfortable and I always have a good time.
Parking is very expensive but located in downtown and at walking distance from most of tourist attractions
