Cheap little hotel. Nothing special, very close to everything. Staff super friendly. Small issue with hot water, but we didn't complain. Highly recommend if your on a budget. Manager re programmed our tv to get english.

Convenient location, close to the restaurants and beach. Nice staff.

Great value for the money. Very clean. Stuff helpful and friendly. Quick check in/out. They serve coffee every morning. There is a microwave, plates, cups, etc. in the lobby which guests can use. They provide beach towels, shampoo, soap, mouth wash and lotion. Location is great - close to Playa Norte, restaurants, shops, golf cart rental place is next door. Will stay here again. The only issue which everybody mentions is the toilet not working properly but we were aware about it.

First visit to this property, but not our first visit to Isla Mujeres. This property was at an excellent location from the ferry terminal (six blocks) and from Playa Norte aka north beach (seven blocks). It was an easy walk to both, and nice restaurants were within a three block walk. Everything in the hotel's description is what they provide: clean rooms, beach towels, pleasant staff, and a pleasant experience at a good cost. We wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

We love this property! Great customer service, close to beach and restaurants.

Had a lovely time at Hotel Xbulu-Ha, friendly staff, great location, overall had everything we needed for a low key, easy stay. Unfortunately, the plumbing was a bit of an issue, perhaps the water pressure was low, both shower and toilet ran out of steam quickly. But truly, such a minor detail, this is a nice establishment!

We love the staff - very caring and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. Safe and clean! We will definitely return!

Room & staff were great but NO hot water after first two days!

We were sleeping first day and heard continued knocks at door, manager then put key in door to open but our dead bolt was on. Wife got up and saw it was him, we then asked him about it and he made up two stories and denied it was him. Later we hide our valuable and took picture of drawer and it had been rummaged through. Very convenient location

nice budget hotel , very close to centro and many restaurants , we had the big suite ground floor , cooking facilities and large room and large bathroom and nice shower- the view is better from from the higher rooms but nice place all round - the cleaning ladies and staff were friendly and helpful (bring your own soap for showering) - beds are firm but comfortable :) They also have beach chairs to borrow which was a nice bonus ! not far from beach as well :)

Love this location! I have been to Isla mnay times and if you want inexpensive but clean and tidy - this is a great place. The staff is very kind and helpful and you are right next door to one of the best fresh juice/ coffee bars intown with a short stroll to the North Beach ... Ill do this again!

Walkable to everything around the north end. The staff was very nice and helpful if we needed anything. Our room was nicer than expected- we got the senior suite. It has a full kitchen area and big bathroom that looks pretty newly remodeled. Very good value, would recommend to anyone.

Enjoyed our time here so much, will definitely stay here again. Junior suite was nice since it had a full size fridge for drinks. Loved that they provided beach chairs and towels. Staff was wonderful!

Great location, very close to Playa del Norte, 10 min walking from Ultramar station, many business around (for renting golf cars, bikes, restaurants, for shopping souvenirs, etc). The building is confortable and clean. No great views through the windows because is very close to the next building; however I would come back to this hotel for my next visit, it’s great for casual trip. The staff was friendly and helpful, we were allowed to keep our two bikes at the end of the hall

Pros: cost, super clean, safe worked, quiet-ish area, new or new looking fixtures-paint-furnishings, kitchenette worked, staff was super nice and professional. Oh, and the AC worked soooo well. Cons:, door frame and door locks we're new and pretty, but ill fitted, poorly installed, and cheap. If someone wanted in the room it would be easy to Jimmy the lock. Water pressure was super low. It's clear that the owners care about the place. It's a great value for the money. Would recommend to other budget travellers.

The room is what I paid for but a bit disappointing. Was it clean? Yes. Did it have a bed, mini-fridge, toilet, shower, sink, towels, lamps? Yes. And that's about it. Only windows in room look onto walkway with many other patrons. Light filters in from three floors up. No privacy screens so either the windows are fully exposed or the blinds must be fully drawn. Got what we paid for which was a clean room with daily housekeeping. Nothing more. If you choose to stay here I strongly recommend not settling for the lowest priced room on Orbitz and request/insist on a room above the ground floor. Higher rooms have windows to the actual outside and nice breezes. But, they are mostly occupied by long-term snowbirds so it's unlikely any will be available for a shorter stay. The room is spartan, but we asked for a couple extra pillows from the maid and they were happily granted. Beach towels? It looked like other folks had them but we were not offered and did not ask. There is always someone around, though not always at the front desk, and, like all of Isla, the area is safe. I can't recommend this hotel for a short stay but for a longer-term rental or if you are willing to pay for a more expensive room up front, then it is worthwhile.

Nice hotel, friendly people. Near the beach and accessible to many good restaurants. Had a great time would definitely recommend it to friends.

Excellent location, close to the beach, great personnel.
