We got to the hotel at 4:30 pm cst and check-in is at 4 pm. We were told the room was not ready yet to give it 15 minutes. We had a wedding to go to and needed to get ready. I kept checking with the front desk and was told something different each time. They were short staffed and then I was told the Queen Suites are the last rooms to be cleaned. It was a little before 6 pm when they called that the room was finally ready. My kids wanted to go in the pool and when we got there, it was filled with crickets inside of the pool. Who wants to swim with crickets jumping at you in tje water. Why not just close the pool instead. We left the pool because they did not want to get in and when we got back to the room we couldn’t get in. The light would turn green with key but door was jammed. I called the front desk and the guy asked if anyone was in the room I said no and he sighed like it was a big inconvenience that I called because we couldn’t get in our room. I finally was able to get the door open by pushing it open with my body and maintenance showed up and said it was no problem he had a key if it happened again. We were told we can wait in the lobby area but they would not give us tickets for drinks until we checked in even though we were waiting in the lobby while Happy Hour was going on we weren’t able to participate. They gave us tickets when we checked in but at that point we had to get ready to leave. I will never stay here again.

The fact that the parking was $40.00 extra. This is not fair. We are already paying you to stay there. Also, the walk from the garage to the hotel is not safe.

Polite staff. Did not have a remote for one of the tv's in the room

Excellent breakfast and happy hour. Great location.

The hotel is conveniently located between (within walking distance to either) downtown or the South Congress area. Chelsea, at the front desk, was adorable and a real asset to their operation. My only complaint is that there was no hook in the bathroom to hang my toiletries bag on. There clearly had been one on the back of the door, which they'd taken down and not replaced. Also, I thought $40 was a bit outrageous for self parking. The parking structure is next to but separate from the hotel and one of the elevators puts you out at a point where the walk to the hotel is somewhat dangerous. You have to walk along a winding service road with no sidewalk, where a car could come around the curve quickly and hit you.

Really happy we picked this place, very reasonably priced for all you get. The happy hour to breakfast were great and our room is so nice!! Will be staying here again next time we’re in town. Plus the location is perfect!! Close to all the sights.

convenient, responsive staff, great Happy Hour and Breakfast included. Parking not a bonus.... expensive at $36/day.... and not known until booking complete. great rooms and beds. having the living area is totally the bonus, and totally worth the $$

Most everything was great. The room was as advertised. My biggest complaint is how absolutely filthy the elevators were. Not that big of a deal as we were hardly in them. But they could easily make that right.

The lobby area was spacious to gather with family & guest. The check in staff was courteous & informative. No bell hop service offered so plan of having to check in, the leave to the building next door to leave your car in a parking garage with very dirty elevators & no obvious security cameras or security officers. Then plan on carrying all your stuff & fam next door, slightly up the street to enter a side door and make your way to your room. The rooms smell moldy & musty. The carpets are brown and should be yanked out/replaced with tile that can at least be mopped after every rental. Our sofa bed had hidden stains in the cushions that could pass as either dark chocolate or old blood :(. The furniture was in dire need of furniture marker touch ups and furniture polish. The previous attempts of touch up remodels in the room/restrooms were evidently done by a non-experienced handy man. I am disappointed that the hotel chain owners/managers don’t do quality control walk throughs consistently to address unsightly craftsmanship like this. Paint in the bathroom had spray over on the edges and grout was “smeared” on some tile spots. I stayed with my family in this Austin Downtown hotel thinking that the brand was quality based but boy we’re we in for a surprise. Good thing we checked in on Friday night & left Sunday morning. The stay was so short that leaving and finding a different hotel would have imposed on our entire family graduation. We were 6 families with children.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. I stayed there for 6 nights while I was attending a conference at the Austin Conference Center. This hotel was an easy 10-15 walk to the conference center. The breakfast buffet was great and also included an omelet bar where a chef makes you an omelet to order. There was also a happy hour each evening with snacks and free drinks (beer, wine, and cocktails). I also liked that this hotel was very close to the running/biking trails that go along the river and provide a safe place for exercise. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay near the downtown Austin.

This hotel was in a great location. The only thing that was not ideal was that the garage was not attached to the hotel.

very attentive staff from the desk to the button

The property was out dated but the Staff was over the top excellent.

Overall, very nice rooms and a good value. They had a lovely free breakfast, and gave coupons for wine and beer during happy hour. There was a daily $36 charge for parking which I was not aware of at the time of booking. The only negative was that the indoor pool was closed for repairs. It was a really nice place and in an amazing location. We were able to walk everywhere.

This hotel was great. It was in a great location, walk-able to downtown restaurants and bars and the Congress bridge where the bats come out. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was good and offered a lot including an omelet station. Rooms were a great size and comfortable bed; just needs a little updating but nothing serious. Would definitely recommend.

Great trip
